This term, Y3/4’s topic is called ‘Let’s Explore Growing!’ We are looking how plants grow and the functions within them. In science, we will be growing and investigating plants. In literacy, we are seeking inspiration from a variety of books, such as: “The Enormous Turnip”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “The Oak Inside the Acorn” and “Oh Say Can You Seed”. In Art, we will be drawing and painting a variety of flowers, as well as experimenting with different cooking skills in DT! In Music, we will be adding music to different scenes from Jack and the Beanstalk.
Please bring in your projects throughout term 5!
The children can bring in home learning projects about growing this term. This can be in any form – a powerpoint, a dance, a song, a poster. It needs to be something that shows how a plant can grow.
